Hello,
I am doing some genealogical research and became interested in finding out whether I could have access to century papal dispensations online to see if I can find two close consanguineal marriages in my great-greats and my greats generations (dating from late 19th century and early 20th). They were uncle and niece in the first case and first cousins in the second. Although I’ve always known about it, I’ve recently become curious. The family has always had strong Catholic links (we are descended from an aristocratic Spanish family that settled in Argentina, where I’m from), and there has always been at least a priest or a nun in every generation (there were three- a priest and two nuns- born to these married uncle and niece). They must have asked for a dispensation. I have pictures of the cousins’ wedding, and it was in a Catholic church. Any idea where I might get any information?
Thank you very much!
