My son is writing his research paper on the Inquisition. (He’s a high school sophomore). He would like some of the sources to reflect the Catholic position on the matter. He also wants the facts as unbiased as possible. He is especially interested in the motivations behind the need for it.
His thesis argues that it was necessary.

We already have all the “other side’s” opinions we could possibly want.

Can anyone out there recommend some sources from which to get some different perspectives? The more “pure” the source the better. That is, the closer to the actual events the commentary, the better.

Anyone’s personal opinions on the matter are welcome as well.

His inspiration is that hilarious scene in Mel Brooks’ “History of the World”. We all get such a kick out of that.

May I for my half pennorth worth say that we hear so much about the Spanish Inquisition.

If we are looking for inquisitions, We do not have to go far

There is a conspicous silence about the ENGLISH Inquisition.

More Catholics were killed in the English Inquisition than all the heretics put together in the Spanish. 😦
