you’ve become accustomed to an elevated level of dopamine and serotonin associated with an orgasm. it will take time but you will eventually get over the addiction if you humble yourself and ask for the strength to do what’s right./QUOTE]
Sin starts at the level of the heart. It is covetousness, an inordinate desire for something which God has forbidden. Also, there are the physical aspects which affect your body. You have been feeding lust and the nature of lust is that it is never truly satisfied, it will always come back for more. The physical urges will come on with great strength, but you need to fight really really hard to overcome them. Then the urges will become less intense. You need to place the reason for the hope that is in you in your mind everyday. Realize when you are most vulnerable (usually while you are in bed or lounging around) and prepare to do battle when bedtime comes. Just before bed, meditate upon the things which will keep you from sinning and when you wake, let them be the first things to dominate your thoughts. I look to Christ hanging upon the cross suffering for such sins, and ask, ‘how shall I trample His blood beneath my feet by my sin?’ FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! A good preacher once said, “you must be killing sin, or sin will be killing you!”
