The chaplain at my husband’s school has entrusted my husband with handling convocation the final week before Spring Break. They’re off Holy Week + the day after Easter, so this will be the week before.

Whatever he comes up with is supposed to have a good Lenten theme.

It can be a reading, meditation, reflection explanation, etc. HE could probably also include music.

Does anyone have any ideas appropriate for a 9-12 grade crowd?

Usually, when it’s his turn, he chooses Boethius or Kierkegaard.

smp.org/ St. Mary’s Press has all kinds of teen resources worth checking into,
Plus another worthwhile source would be the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry office…it is an arm of the US Council of Catholic Bishops. Their website is nfcym.org/resources/components/prayerworship/lent.htm

Pray always…and you will do fine! Include music with your reflections. I have done youth ministry now for over 10 years and it is highly effective.
