There have been a million threads on this topic, but I could not find specific resources when searching. So Ill start another.

I am currently not a member of the Catholic Church. However, I am moving in that direction. My wife is a little more hesitant. However, she is willing to look into the church’s teaching on contraception. We have already agreed not to use birth control pills because there is even the slightest chance that it aborts a child.

However, she does not see any harm in using a condom. I have a general understanding of the Catholic churches teaching on all contraception, but have a very difficult time trying to explain why NFP and condoms are different. Regardless of my ability to explain, I do not feel that me explaining it to her would be the best route to go.

I need resources (online videos, articles, books, etc.) Specifically, something that tackles this issue (why condom use and NFP are different). I understand that NFP is only morally permissible by the Church if used not to have children with the correct mindset. I just need something to pass along to her that shows that there is a difference in using NFP and condoms when you have prayerfully considered that it is not the right time for you to have children.

Thanks for any help. I was pleased to hear her interest in this and am hoping this is a step toward the Catholic Church for both of us.
