Hello all,

I was hoping to get some direction on finding some good sources for Catholic discussions. If you could bear with me for a second to explain. My wife and I are going on another hiking trip this month. In the past we made it a habit of taking along a book of daily readings and every time we got to the top of another mountain we would take a break and do a reading. This year she suggested we find. like a bible study or discussions on certain topics, etc, that we can read at the foot of the mountain and have the discussion as we climb the mountain. Any thoughts or booklets you can think of would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This is a good source:
liguori.org/

Tan Books
Ignatius Press
Paraclete Press ( look for the Catholic things, they serve many faiths)
St. Anthony Messenger Press
St. Mary’s Press

Happy Reading

Imitation of Christ; this is considered the “golden book” for a number of Popes. Google it online if you are unfamiliar and choose to become familiar.

I don’t know any topics, but I just want to say; that’s an absolutely beautiful way to spend time together. 👍

Thanks for the response. I am still looking through that link. Lots of good reads there, now having a hard time narrowing it down.🤷

Thanks. I don’t think this book will work for our trip but looks like a must read. Going to order a copy for myself to read this winter.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the response. We only get to take this trip about every other year. We are so busy with family and the only way we ever make it is by God’s good Graces. So we feel it is important to thank him, for the ability and the health to go on these hikes. We feel it is important to include him on our trip.

Besides once you make it to one of the mountain tops and get a view like this how could you not give thanks to God. 👍
