Well, it is written that God shall send them strong delusion in the last days to believe a lie, so guess there is nothing that can be done about it for many who have been fooled into thinking all these crazy ideas, lol.

Here’s a little snipplet, I was just reading that explained what I wanted to say basically:

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

When “that Wicked” is revealed he will come “after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.” He will come with all “deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish.” Who will perish? Those who “received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” (See 2 Thess. 9,10)

This is the reason why "God shall send them strong delusion, “that they should believe a lie.” Which lie will the people who received not the love of the truth before that Wicked is revealed believe? They will believe what that Wicked “shows” himself to be: God. (See 2 Thess. 2:11)

What happens to those who believe that Wicked’s lie? “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thess. 2:12)

People who refuse to believe the truth and stop having pleasure in unrighteousness will be caused to believe that Antichrist is really the true God. God himself will cause them to believe this lie and they will be damned! They will not be able to fight against this delusion. They will believe it because God will cause them to believe it. God’s judgment is this: "If you want to serve sin now (and therefore the Master of it), you will serve him during the tribulation as well. The doors of the ‘ark of salvation’ will be shut when that Wicked is revealed during the tribulation.

Many Christians “believe” the truth on their terms, which means they continue to have pleasure in unrighteousness. They must understand that if they believe in Jesus but still enjoy unrighteousness, their definition of believing is not the same as God’s, and they will receive his judgment to believe the lie if they do not repent and begin serving God now with single-hearted devotion. God chooses us to salvation through not only our belief of the truth, but also through sanctification of the Spirit: “because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.” 2 Thess. 2:13

Scripture warn us about false prophets. Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church he started. Jesus started the Catholic Church.

The gates of hell, nor Ellen White, nor the Seventh Day Adventist Church, will prevail against the Catholic Church.

I look forward to welcoming our Adventist brothers and sisters home to the one true Christian faith–that is the Catholic Church.

Forgive me for tuning in late on this thread. I know you have said that it is your last post, but I would like to invite you to correspond with me, if you wish, after reading my post here. Let me give you some background on myself.

I was raised a 3rd generation 7th-Day Adventist, and was educated in their schools. I graduated from Mt. Vernon Academy, as did both my parents, and my uncle before me. I was as zealous as you are, for the Adventist faith, if not more so. I understand Adventism thoroughly, due to my background.

I won’t go into the specifics in this post, but would rather keep it as an introduction, rather than talk about different theological issues, and what is truth. I’ll just say that ultimately, and on my own, by in large, I came to beleive that much of what I had always been taught as an Adventist, was incorrect. It was a very painful and slow process. I finally realized that I did not even have a clear enough grasp of the simple gospel of Christ, explained in the New Testament. I wasn’t even looking to leave and was quite content as an Adventist. But my conscience, no doubt influenced by the Holy Spirit, as He taught me, could not deny and no longer participate in the errors taught in Adventism.

For now, I’ll leave it at that. You can respond here, or send me a private message if you wish to discuss any of these things further. If you don’t care too, I’ll just say God bless you, and wish you well.

Yeah, there are a few good internet resources for Catholic Apologetics to Adventists. These are my top 3, in no particular order:

    What are your thoughts of the above 3? Why not visit each and review them on this thread? It’d be a great way to become acquainted with each!
