Resources to teach Mentally Retarded our faith

Not sure if this is the right place to ask.
I have a daughter that is mentally retarded. She is 18.
I want to be able to prepare her for baptism.

I have a childrens bible (pre-school) that I read to her.
We watch Veggie Tales.

She does not read. She has a hard time vocalizing.

I am not sure what is availble to help her.
I will start searching the internet and see what I find.

I would continue to utilize skill-level oriented rather than age-level oriented methods. If she has the mind of a child, she may be particularly blessed in matters of faith. When a child is told they are loved by God, that Jesus loves them, they accept it with open hearts. There is no doubt, no questioning, and much less prone to temptations and sins that plague adults. If she is mentally and emotionally appropriate for Sunday school, talk with the teacher to discuss the best possible placement.

Hi Mendymarie, given you have already been educating your Daughter about The Holy Spirit during her Life and raising your Daughter as a Catholic and knowing the Bible through His Scriptures; this would be all that is required Mendy for Baptism. Your Daughter’s Soul that God has given “knows” her Sacraments anyway! When we are baptized in The Holy Spirit as babies; we do not prepare ourselves beforehand, other than Jesus Hand Blessing us in this Sacrament.

I would be avoiding (and you know your Child best) overloading her with much at all other than “God Jesus and The Holy Spirit are baptizing you in Their Love, Protection, Health and Safety, now and forever” accompanied by some illustrations of Our Lady Mary taking Jesus for His Baptism to Moses and God for her comprehension.
