Resurrected Jesus Etched in Glass

A new church built in the diocese I have recently moved from but the main altar with a Resurrected Jesus etched in the glass window instead of a Crucifix. The first thing the bishop noticed when he visited the Church was this. Does anyone know of any rules for the building of new parishes??? There is supposed to be a Crucifix correct??? Is it okay to have a Crucified Christ etched in Glass as the Bishop seemed to imply he would rather have had a Crucifix etched in the glass??? Thanks and God Bless.
 
My understanding is that the “etched in glass” part is probably okay but that for Mass the cross has to 1.) have a corpus 2.) of Christ crucified (not resurrected or other symbolic depiction). St. Francis’ San Damiano crucifix is a flat, painted crucifix, and I am pretty sure that there is no requirement that the crucifix be three dimensional. However, I would hope that the etching is VERY distinctive and eye-catching. My personal preference is for gigantic, marble crucifixes that are many times larger than life size!
