“After that, He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.” - 1 Corinthians 15:6
If Paul hadn’t mentioned that event then we would’ve never knew it happened. Just imagine the other things that happened between Easter and the Ascension that we don’t know about… 😲

I never thought of that before. An interesting thing to ponder.

It’s why most attribute it to fantasy and Paul trying to ‘hit a messiah checklist’, by inserting supporting evidence for claims that never actually happened.

Often in scholarship, if you have a reference without supporting testimony elsewhere, it’s credibility is almost zilch. In a similar vein, that’s why the ‘edited’ forgeries of Josephus annoy atheist debaters so much.

Can you explain what you mean a bit more. What do you mean about Josephus and scholarship. Are you implying it didn’t happen

Our present day physical evidence indicates that Jesus’ corpse disappeared from inside of His sealed and guarded tomb. While that that not prove His resurrection, it strongly implies it. If a dead body could just up and vanish into another dimension, then it could also reappear as a living person.
