Hello—brand new here. I have a question—I’m not doubting that Jesus rose from the dead, but how come he wasn’t found by the Sanhedrin? Do we know if they saw him when he returned? My follow-up question is, wouldn’t it have saved a lot of anguish on Earth if he had just declared that the kingdom had come back then rather us still waitIng here 2000+ year’s later? Is it ok to have faith yet still have these types of questions? Thanks!!

So, you are searching for evidence of the Resurrection…
  1. Four different witnessed accounts are written in the Gospels.
  2. The Catholic Church is the oldest organization in the world.

They searched in His tomb and where you may expect the dead, perhaps where they thought you could hide a body…He was not dead, but Risen.

His Kingdom has already arrived. The Parousia has not happened yet.

The Ascension is an incredibly important moment in the Life of the Church.

Humans are complicated beings. No questions would satisfy the human mind, unless they choose to. The Israelites questioned God despite after being delivered from slavery in Eygpt and witnessed the parting of the Red Sea

The Sanhedrin, and many of the Jews, were obstinate. There was certainly sufficient evidence at that time that something absolutely incredible had happened (the Resurrection), but they closed their hearts. They did not want the Messiah that was given to them, but rather, a Messiah who would lead them in arms against the Romans to build an earthly kingdom in which the Jews would have earthly power, prestige, and pleasure.
