Earlier this morning I was informed of the sad news that Mar John Chedid, retired Maronite Eparch of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles, passed away yesterday (I believe it was) in Lebanon.

May the Lord have mercy on him and may he rest among the Righteous and the Just.
