Nooooo. I’m terrified that a giant clam will get a hold of my foot, resulting in my death by drowning. …yeah, I know the chances are next to zero. Nevertheless, I’d rather keep them at absolutely zero. 😊

Have you ever engaged in a food fight?

Yes. My sister in law’s happy little poodle chomped down on my hand. Thankfully he didn’t break skin, but it hurt.

Have you ever been scratched by a cat?

No, though I have worn different shoes of the same color by accident. They were different heel heights so I have no idea how I didn’t notice something was amiss…

Have you ever used a soldering iron?

I don’t think so.

Have you ever been locked out of your home?

Total loss of consciousness, no matter how brief? No. I have collapsed in public, though.

Have you ever painted by number?

I’ve written a name incorrectly but fixed and initialed the change.

Have you ever had a night time swim under the stars?

From eggs and flour? Yes when we were little we’d would help my Nonna make homemade bucatini. Then they dried on tables covered in white tablecloths.

The type that’s fresh and kept in the fridge at the store? Yes as well.

Have you ever had a panettone at Christmas time?

I meant from scratch (eggs and/or water + flour), but thank you for being so thorough and apologies for my being vague 😊

Yes, and that’s how I know that I don’t like panettone…

Have you ever had a main dish other than turkey or ham for Christmas dinner?

Yes. Usually first course would be a baked pasta, main course Usually a roast of some sort.

Growing up we rarely had turkey on Christmas and ham for some reason was for New Year’s Eve dinner.

Have you ever baked a pumpkin pie using the recipe on the can of pumpkin?

No, I usually use fresh pumpkin. Exceptionally, I will use canned pumpkin this year and may try the recipe on the can.

Have you ever let a call go to voicemail just because you didn’t feel like answering the phone?

I screen all the time. Get at least 2 scam calls a day. My favorite is the computer generated voice telling me there’s a warrant for my arrest due to suspicious activity on my social. Social? Social security? Social media? Social life? 🥴 😐

Have you ever received a scam telephone call? 🤓

I’ve received countless telemarketing calls but nothing verifiably hinky.

(Sorry to be unclear with the last question—I didn’t mean screening, I meant you know it’s a legitimate call [relative, friend, etc.] but you didn’t feel like answering so you just let voicemail handle it.)

Have you ever started talking with someone thinking you knew them but they turned out to be a total stranger?

Yes. I screen those too. Sometimes I know that the conversation is going to be intense and I don’t have the time to talk. Usually my aunt or my MIL. Then I call them when I know I have a longer amount of time.

As for the stranger, I’m pretty shy so I normally don’t talk to strangers to begin with, but there was a time where I mistook someone at a party for my husband’s distant cousin. The guy in question is obnoxious and married to a friend of my in laws. He read it as me flirting with him.😳 and made a catty remark to my then fiancé now husband. I think it all goes back to when my husband took the wife to his junior prom. I avoid this guy at functions now.

Have you ever written a very long response to a question? 🤓
