My daughter and her husband (he is agnostic) recently had a daughter and they had her baptized. They are not attending church. So I am aking for prayers that they will find their way back to the church.

Mother Mary, please make your intentions in this matter come true.

Hail Mary…

Amen.

Sr. Briege McKenna talks about the sacraments in a book. In it, she disclosed a method of prayer to which people have attributed conversions.

I don’t have a quote, but I can paraphrase, saying, pray to God that He fans the flames of their baptismal graces (your daughter and her husband in this instant).

I have used it, to some success.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to you do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
your eyes of mercy toward us;
And after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Amen.
