returning to church

Hi. Quick question. I have a family member who was divorced from her first husband and then married another w/o an annulment. Her second husband died a few years ago. To return to the church, would she only have to go to confession?

I think so. She is still most likely considered married to her first husband, and this would be like if she had an affair, has ended it, and is now confessing it. I think it would be equivalent to that. There is no continuing state of sin anymore. If she got married AGAIN w/o annulment, then she would have a problem.
