I as of most of you know rejecting revealed truth is a big no no. However how, do you approach this with someone who is not credible, or does not have certain credentials such as advances degrees . Is taking them with a grain of salt still considered rejecting revealed truth?

Do you mean: how to know if the person doing the preaching knows what they’re talking about?

Absolutely not! Having a modicum of circumspection is always a good idea. This is not to say that we should be relentlessly suspicious and never give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Instead we should always assess teachings - especially from someone of dubious character - in accordance with the doctrines of the Church.

Why would you listen to someone who is not credible? Furthermore, revealed truth does not come from credentials such as an advanced degree.

There were over 180,000 phd’s granted in the US alone in just one year. The degree itself means very little.

The greatest success of devil in recent history is that he made faithful to trust atheists much more than God fearing honest men.
