Ah, Isaiah uses the phrase “mighty God” to refer to God, thus the “almighty” vs “mighty” is a false comparsion.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 10:21
A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.
Second, John applies “almighty” to Jesus
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 4:8
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”
Concerning John 1:1, a word gets its meaning from its context.
