The parish where I attend weekday Mass (downtown) doesn’t “do” the orans position (the people don’t.) The priests there do it as called for in the rubrics. One priest, before the Creed, is still prompting people to bow or genuflect during the indicated section of the Creed. At my home parish (in a third ring, semi-rural suburb,) they “do” everything: orans, raising their hands (and I agree, it looks like they got caught in a stick-up in a convenience store,) hand-holding, shaking hands across the aisle during the sign of peace, etc, etc. They’re still having problems with “and with your spirit” as well. Yesterday, I could have sworn I was the only one saying “and with your spirit,” or any of the “new” responses, for that matter. And nobody bows during the Creed!
