Shalom brothers and sisters in Christ, not so long ago, I discovered a video on the Google titled was ‘Who is Pope Benedict XVI?’ My initial idea was to search for perhaps documentary about our current POPE. However it turned out to be talking bad things about POPE Benedict. I was also surprised that the person giving a talk was a former Catholics. My intention is not to confuse the Catholic believers here (I’m Catholic too!) But somehow watching the video makes me ponder how come such things occurred. Not only that, he was a former Catholic priest! Upon watching the video and I tried to search for more and found this website: whateverycatholicshouldknow.com/

I just felt sad about all these people who are former Catholics and now establish their own personal agenda. Surprisingly I don’t have any doubt about my Catholic faith. Praise the Lord! I am bold. For those of you have known about this guy, would you like to share your thought? Or you agree with what they said? I want to hear from you. Remember one thing in mind, don’t look on the sin of the people, but rather look on the faith of our church!

You shouldn’t be surprised that the most adamant anti-Catholics are former Catholics, or people who consider themselves to be former Catholics (they will be judged as Catholics as to whether they practiced their faith or not).

Satan’s minions are experts at twisting the truth, or trying to hide an ounce of lie under a pound of truth and coming up with an entirely different conclusion than the truth.

The fact that he is a “former Catholic” loses all credibility to anything he would say, in my opinion.

I explain it like this: If I offered you a glass of sewerage with a spoonful of the finest wine stirred up in it, would you drink it? No! Why? Because it’s just a glass of sewerage!

Conversely, if I offered you a glass of the finest wine, with a spoonful of sewerage stirred into it, would you then drink that? No! Why? Because it’s still just a glass of sewerage!

The truth is not a notion or an abstract idea, but a Person, Jesus Christ! He cannot be separated or divided. He is God, unified with the other Two Persons of the Trinity. Likewise, truth cannot be divided or compromised. It must remain whole.

Satan’s favorite color is gray, and anytime he can blur our vision of the Truth, he’s ecstatic, because then he has room to operate! Anytime you see this sort of division of truth, etc., you should know that Satan is present and operating, fighting against Christ!

The lies he and his fellow travellers hurl at us are a giveaway, but it seems to be par for the course for anti-Catholic ex-Catholics. Shameless liars!

He also accused non-Catholic pro-life organisations of going over to the Enemy whenever they cooperate with Catholic pro-life groups! ive never been able to find my way back to that website.

Have you come across a site called “My Soul Refuge”, run by an individual named WF White? Hes another ex-Catholic, who features himself in a number of short videos condemning supposed Catholic teachings. In fact, therre not Church teachings; and White just spews out a continuous stream of lies.
The comment facility has been disabled. He doesn`t want to be called out!

Scott Hahn said that theres a moral problem at the heart of most (or all?) individuals decision to leave the Church, and thats probably the case with self-defrocked Fr. R. Bennett. Ditto for the late self-defrocked Fr. Bartholemew Brewer. (He developed an attachment to a schoolgirl.) And for WF White et al. Celibacy and the Churchs ban on contraception would be good starting points.

These axe-grinding anti-Catholics know theyre lying. How do they justify it? "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." The end doesnt justify the means.
We know that theyre doing the work of the Father of lies. Do they ever consider what theyll say when they face their Maker?
Theyre ignoring Our Lords words: “Not everyone who says ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”.

I cannot imagine how they even really believe in God, therefore, they have convinced themselves that there will be no eternal consequences to their heretical actions.

are you surprised? former Catholics? just think, so was martin luther, henry VIII, and many many others. nothing new. i remember reading an article from brasil in which this woman called herself a former Catholic and the first person she came to attack was the pope. that is what they do. they go always after the pope himself. why is that? and she declared that her mission was to go after the CC and destroy her. anything new here? no. i think we pay to much attention to these heretics. what they are really attacking is our Lord. i am sure our Lord can deal with them in due time.

You bet i`ve noticed it!

When you listen to converts like Scott (Hahn), they say that their former denominations are full of very Godly people, but that they also contain error. Theyre honest about the errors, but theyre truly grateful for having been given a love of God and of Scripture.

Compare that with the others…nothing but badmouthing.

I’ve heard of him, unfortunately through someone who’s very close to me and an anti-catholic. I truly believe Richard Bennett is working a great evil. He has comments on his website such as “the damnation of Scott Hahn” etc. When Blessed Mother Theresa’s book came out after her death, Come Be My Light, he criticized her and claimed that there’s no way she knew Jesus and that her “Jesus” was actually the Catholic Church. He did not praise her once and did nothing but condemn her. What kind of person could possibly condemn Mother Teresa?
He also deeply criticized John Paul II and Benedict XVI. He is deceived and I truly believe is doing the work of the evil one. The problem is, he comes across as gentle with a tiny little voice. Sounds so sincere and loving. A true wolf in sheep’s clothing.
I don’t say this lightly. I can say that there may be another ex/anti-catholic I just found out about a couple of weeks ago that may be similar to him. They are both on a mission to preach to Catholics and show us our evil ways–not just our errors. They truly believe we’ll go to hell if we are not saved!!
They believe the Eucharist-the source and summit of our faith, is the worst form of idolatry one can partake of .
Don’t listen to him if you’re the slightest bit confused about your faith. However, it may be o.k. to pop in every now and then to see what people out there believe, and we can prepare to defend our faith which is the fullness of the truth in Jesus Christ!

I’ve been in his home. He is very soft spoken and kind. He sustained severe brain trauma and as a result has no stong memories of his priesthood. This is all documented. He did “use” his popularity of “being a former priest” to build a small ministry. While his rhetoric is strong, it is easily defended, if you know your Catholic faith.
