Well, they seized his cell phone! He has some serious charges against him.

Does this mean they thought if they just asked for it they couldn’t use it in prosecution?

My concern is that Burr’s intelligence committee did deliver some rebukes to Trump, such as validating the basis of the Mueller investigation. Now that he’s out, there is the chance the chairmanship will be given to someone who will MAGA-fy the committee, removing yet another check on Trump.

There just about has to be more to it than we’re seeing. Who DIDN’T know in early February the market was going to take a tumble at that point in time? Diane Feinstein apparently did the same thing.

Well, at least he didn’t beat his cell phone with a hammer or wipe out its memory with Bleachbit.

Oh? Maybe you can quote that for us.
I made a thread about it at the time:

Senate: 2017 intel report about Russian meddling and Trump was correct World News
A bipartisan investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee has validated the January 2017 U.S. intelligence assessment describing Russia interference in the 2016 presidential election — including Russian efforts to help Donald Trump — describing it as accurate, thorough, and untainted by political bias. • The Committee found the ICA presents a coherent and well-constructed intelligence basis for the case of unprecedented Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
  • In all the interviews of those who drafted and prepared the ICA, the Committee heard consistently that analysts were under no politically motivated pressure to reach specific conclusions.
  • The Committee found that the ICA provides a proper representation of the intelligence collected by CIA, NSA, and FBI on Russian interference in 2016, and this body of evidence supports the substance and judgments of the ICA.
  • The Committee found that the information provided by Christopher Steele to FBI was not used in the body of the ICA or to support any of its analytic judgments. However, a summary of this material was included in Annex A as a compromise to FBI’s insistence that the information was responsive to the presidential tasking.
