Lord, please bless the men who are being ordained to the permanent deaconate today. We are grateful to them and their families for their following your call and entering into your service through this special vocation. Amen.

What a gracious heart of gratitude…I join you in praying for blessings for your new deacons and their families…and also…lift up our deacons and their families…especially their wives…who in my book are images of the Blessed Mother Mary…who become spiritual Mothers to the Body of Christ.

I also thank God The Holy Spirit for guiding the Church in Vatican II to re-institute this incredibly rich ordained ministry…which is evidenced in the earliest days of the Church…
Philippians 1:1
New International Version (NIV)
1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,
To all God’s holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons;
1 Timothy 3:12
New International Version (NIV)
12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well.
…

…and so very much needed in the Church these 2000 years later…especially in these time of trials and tribulations for the backbones of society and culture:…marriage, family and children.

Angels and Saints, please join us in praying for these new deacons!

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen

Praying that God will fill them with his grace and give them many blessings
