Do we, as Catholics, know exactly…exactly what happens upon the moment of our death, as far as Who we see? I picture, not God or Mary, but Jesus, looking right into my eyes, holding out His hands, and that I would know, just from His face and the look in His eyes what my eternal fate is, without either of us having to speak a single word. I picture that this only lasts for seconds. It may be different for individual souls, but I’m feeling as though it would pretty much be the same. I’ve always just been very interested in this, and give it thought often. We do see and are with Jesus for, at least, seconds, and He is the first, if not the only, One we see and are “greeted by”, in a sense…I’ve always read this…do you feel this is true? What are your individual “ideas” of what may happen to us, what we see or feel and experience upon the second of death?
