That’s also a pretty cool idea. Having hundreds of guys going through the street saying “I’m strong enough to control my desires”.

The homosexuality is about self gratification. Acting out a behavior that is against the natural order.

Love is about giving. God gave His son to us that we might give ourselves to Him.

Exactly. Those with same-sex attractions can have absolutely no experience of any passion other than selfish self-gratification. There is no love, only lust; no sadness, only despair; no righteous anger, only the deadly sin of wrath. Their humanity is almost entirely engulfed in sinful, sexual pathology. The path to their salvation will always be one which extricates these men and women from their disgusting cravings. Once cured, they may then begin to live as chaste Christians.

I wonder if you have ever met any. My experience with those with SSA, both in the first and third persons, bears no resemblance whatsoever with the picture you’re painting! Chastity begins at the first moment of repentance, not after all temptations have passed away.

By his own admission, no.

Obviously, homosexual behavior is disordered and immoral. It truly defies logic and biology and natural law and God’s law. However, as the Church teaches, a chaste homosexual is perfectly capable of attaining eternal salvation. They carry a heavier cross than many of us. Those that bear it with dignity and offer their sacrifice to God are an example to us all. While the desire to engage in the behavior is clearly disordered, the exact nature of the “love” that one feels for another, homosexual or heterosexual, is not for us to judge. I am sure there are elements in such relationships that, while misdirected and confused, are genuine. In any case, only God can judge another’s heart. Presumption on our part is arrogance.

The troll returns. Same sex attraction is not sinful. Engaging in lustful thoughts or sexual acts outside of marriage is. Therefore it is quite possible to live with the acknowledged weakness of same sex attraction and still be chaste.

I have a feeling alot of homosexual attraction turns to lust… the culture is pretty much based on lust

My answer to the OP would be NO… There are children probably walking home from school with their moms or daycare centers, and they don’t need to see guys holding hands with other guys at such a young age…Adults things should be done behind curtains, not out in the open, and those gay pride parades always end up with the paraders getting out of control and doing very filthy dirty acts that violate the obsenity/PDA laws…
