HANCEVILLE — Father Robert Joseph Fox, 81, of Hanceville, died Thursday, November 26, 2009, at his residence.
Entire article here:The Mother Vicar of the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, learning of Father Fox’s retirement; invited him to assist at the Shrine where he arrived in July 2003. For years since then he has offered Mass daily in the lower church of the large Shrine Church and heard confessions of the Poor Clare Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.

Fr. Fox could often be seen praying the Stations of the Cross in the main church of the Shrine. His book Protestant Fundamentalism and the Born-Again Catholic was one of several books that were instrumental in bringing me to the Catholic faith. Three or so years ago I had the opportunity to tell him that when I ran into him on the grounds of the Shrine. Miss Bonnie and I also attended several of his Sunday morning Masses in the Shrine’s Lower Church.
Good fight, Father Fox, and good race. By the will of God, santo subito.
