Can somebody please provide a link to the text of the ritual for diocesan ordinations to the priesthood? I’ve had trouble finding the ordinary form from reputable websites and don’t see it listed at the Vatican site. Any help is much appreciated!

I don’t know that you’ll find the full text online. The text of the Roman Missal is not online (to the best of my knowledge), so I would be surprised if the Rite of Ordination was.

study? leisure?
id love to just look at the prayers if i had a chance, but wouldnt buy the book, of course.

I suppose I expected it to be “out there” because so much information on the Catholic faith is available- the Catechism, Canon Law, Sacraments, etc.

Since ordinations to Holy Orders are open to the public I just figured the ritual would be there for those wishing to read more.

But, the good news is that I got my hands on the information I was looking for, albeit not on the Internet. 🙂

I don’t see any big deal in researching the Rite of Ordination to the Priesthood.

You might as well ask why a Catholic wants to study the Ceremonial of Bishops

sanctamissa.org/en/resources/books-1962/rituale-romanum/40-the-sacrament-of-holy-orders-rite-of-priestly-ordination.html Pre-Vatican II

note the link above hasn’t been updated with a few new additions added in1983.
