Road rage of yelling and swearing at another person with bad driving

My experiences of “rage” at what other drivers do are extremely rare. That said, when they do happen, the emission of a “colorful metaphor” vents my feelings and allows me to then calmly go on my way. I drive with my windows closed, and no one can hear what I say, unless he is right outside my truck.

As for getting out of my vehicle and confronting / yelling at the other driver – ain’t gonna happen!

I live in a city and have to tackle a 30 minute commute each way to get to work. Humor helps. All the bad drivers are named Jack…as in Jackass, BUT, I don’t get aggressive with everyone that I think has slighted me. I jokingly tell my coworkers that my invisibility cloak must be working well considering how many people cut in front of me (I assume they couldn’t see me) 🙂 I just make sure that my brakes stay in good working order.

I wish people were more considerate overall not just when driving, but I’ve decided that society today just doesn’t care about the niceties of living anymore.

I used to make a 90 minute each way commute, so, yeah I would get worked up. My particular favorite target was people who tailgate.

One day, this guy had been right on my rear end for miles and miles and miles, I was on the interstate doing 10 over the speed limit. He would not pass me! So, finally I cursed and grumbled and slowed way down so he HAD to pass me.

When he did, his licence plate read “Jesus”.

George Carlin said that people who drive slower than us - are - ahs

And people who drive faster than we us are - #$@#$@****

Road Rage: Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. (Like forgive us in just the same way as we forgive).

Jesus Whipping the merchants in the temple: Yeah, I can see him opening up a can of righteous whupa$$ when he sees his Father’s house profaned.
