My favorite rock band is Queen. I love their stuff from the seventies-Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera and A Day At The Races are all classics. What’s kind of funny, though, is that my favorite song of theirs is “These Are The Days Of Our Lives” which came off their last album. But they were a great band. Very diverse-they wrote in a lot of different genres, which makes them great to listen to. You never get bored with them. They didn’t just right the same stuff over and over again.

I also love Amy Grant. I’m a huge Amy Grant fan. My husband always laughs at me because I can go from listening to Queen to listening to Amy Grant. Talk about being at opposite ends of the spectrum. 🙂

Hey, Scout, technically Queen’s last album was “Made in Heaven”. Freddie finished the final vocals just before he died (after “Innuendo”) and Brian, John, and Roger finished them up and released the album in 1995. It sounds amazing. I highly recommend it, especially for the tracks “Let Me Live” and “A Winter’s Tale”.

Yeah, Queen is great. I can’t believe I forgot to mention them earlier. I go through phases where the only CDs I’ll listen to are theirs. “A Day at the Races” is hands-down my favorite, although “Queen” (their first) is great too. Actually, the only ones I’m not fond of are the ones from the mid-80s- “The Works” and “A Kind of Magic”.

I liked “The Works” and “A Kind of Magic”. Granted, they weren’t nearly as good as their stuff from the 70’s, but they were okay. The one I can’t stand is “Hot Space”. I couldn’t even listen to it. Ugh! “The Miracle” wasn’t all that great, either, but it did have at least a couple of songs that were okay.

What always makes me laugh is when they play “We Are The Champions” at sporting events. Don’t people know what that song is about?

Wow! I haven’t heard Bone Thugs in Harmony in a long time.

Everything but country and pop-punk!! IT’s never appealed to me. I like old psychedelic rock up to hard-core heavy metal and anything in between. My favorite band is (please don’t shoot me) a perfect circle and tool. Some of the song lyrics could be seen as anti-god, but I interpret them as being the singer’s way of expressing his beliefs and his frustration with the establishment that was forced on him (literally forced) as a child. If you don’t listen to those songs in particular, they are still amazing!!

hey castrus, dont judge a book by its cover. rape me is about a guy who rapes a girl and goes to jail for it, where he is raped.😉 kind of fits in with those who live by the sword die by it.
Hehehee, No, you are thinking of Date Rape by Sublime. Rape me is is Kurt Nobrain yelling Rape me, Rape me again, rape me, rape me my friend" But I am not good at figuring out his lyrics, so I won’t judge.

Tool is amazing…

But I like alot like Norma Jean, Fear Before the March of Flames, Converge, The Bled

Emo is good too…Thursday, The Juliana Theory, Dead Poetic

I would list all the bands I like, but no one would know them anyway. I can’t stand the stuff on the radio. Maybe I am wired backwards, or maybe only crappy stuff gets on the radio…hehehe.

random guy:
you know, there are many who say kurt was murdered, and courtney and kurt were in the process of getting a divorce
Yeah, their is a whole conspiracy theory behind, it. I don’t know too much, but I know their was a video out that talked a little bit about it.
What I do know…
  • people said that when he had the autopsy…he was so shot up with heroin that doctors said it would have been impossible to pull the trigger and that a bunch hadn’t even gotten to his heart yet…meaning someone shot him up after he died.
  • el dulce (sick sick man) known for (rape rock) - claimed courtney offered him $50,000 to kill kurt, then el dulce was walking and was hit by a train in riverside, in a huge open area (you could not miss seeing a train) (I was from riverside). Thus leading to more conspiracy theories.

dont worry, when i started this i was trying to keep it going too:D

OK to update what I was trying to say before

My s/n is from a ZAO song, “To Think of You is to Treasure an Absent Memory” The line in the song is like, “Where Blood and Fire Bring Peace.” So the blood of Jesus and the fire of the Holy Spirit.

ZAO is one of the most amazing bands if you ever into the hXc type of music…

Anyways most of what I like is not on the radio but I do like Chevelle, Jimmy Eat World, Tool, Switchfoot

Oh yeah Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain
  1. His Heroine level was too high for him to handle a gun
  2. And the way the rifled was positioned he would have broke his arm if he actually did it…He didnt break his arm
  3. His letter to the world was just him leaving the music industry

Living Sacrifice is my favortite band but they broke up. I can’t seem to decide who may favorite active band is but I like ZAO, Norma Jean, Haste the Day, Blindside, As I Lay Dying,Underoath, The Agony Scene, etc.

Having been raised on 80’s “hair” metal, it’s still my favorite. Nothing like guys in spandex with big hair and the amps turned up to 11. Scorpions, Def Leppard, Ratt, Dokken, Crue, Winger, Poison, Kiss, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Cinderella, Britney Fox, Aerosmith and Whitesnake. I also have a special place in my heart for Boston, Journey, the Doobie Brothers and Billy Squire. .
👍 hair bands rock!
