Rock symbol demonic?

Is the “rock on” symbol demonic? I’m talking about the one where you put your index finger and pinky up, and the rest of the fingers are in a fist, I stopped doing it because I thought it represented deamon horns or something satanic.

There are different contexts to it. Satanists have used it in the past. That doesn’t make the act Satanic. Spider-Man uses it - he’s not Satanic. Texas Long- Horns fans use it - they are not doing an evil gesture. I personally believe it looks immature and foolish though

The gesture has different meanings in different cultures. In various Mediterranean countries it’s historically been used to ward off the “evil eye.” Dio made it popular in the heavy metal scene, and he credited it to his Italian grandmother.
