Roe V. Wade Books?

Good morning!

I am a Catholic homeschooling senior and in my second semester of American Governement, I will be writing a five page report on Roe V. Wade.

Does anyone have any CD’s, Magazines, books or literature that promotes the Catholic standpoint on the fact that the Roe V. Wade decision was not constitutional?

If I’m correct, though it’s probably not exactly what you are looking for, the book Inherit the Wind is about Roe vs. Wade.

It is a very comprehensive site about Roe and its progeny. In addition, there are articles and a reading list under one of the links.

One book that is good that is not listed is John Noonan’s “A Private Choice: Abortion in America in the 70s”

Francis Beckwith has several very good books. He and a pro-choice philosopher named Louis Pojman edited a collection of primary sources, including the text of Roe and other Supreme Court decisions as well as analysis of the decision. It’s a splendid collection because the two editors come from different perspectives, so you can be confident that it’s fair to both sides.

It’s extremely important, when writing an academic paper, to make sure that you look fairly at both sides, however repugnant you may find one side.
