I agree. If James Bond were a homosexual gender fluid Peruvian Mandarin Australian Aborigine with an eighteen syllable surname pronouncable only by those born with Klingon vocal cords, that would be okay with me. Anything short of that, and I say don’t mess with the Bond formula. That being said, a black Bond would be cool, at least for three or four films.🤷 The writers could easily do that and not ruin the character, but he pretty much has to be a womanizing alcoholic gambler, or else he won’t be the same dude. Just my two cents.
 
Maybe we could do a James Bond conversion story like St Augustine where he gives up his debauched past in favour of following the light.
 
Making James Bond gay is like replacing the Doctor’s TARDIS with a DeLorean. It won’t work.
