Roman Canon, plus trying to follow what's being said in the mass: Looking for online help

The Roman Canon - Also known as the first Eucharistic prayer.
I’ve been trying to find the text of it on the catholic.com website. My searches haven’t found the text of it yet.

Can someone please give ,me the text of this prayer, or a link to the website? I’d like to know the actual words of this prayer.

ALSO - I went to a Catholic Mass yesterday, and there are lots of places where the people start reciting everything by memory.

Is there a list (and text) somewhere of all of these memorized responses/prayers/creeds? There were books available in the pews, with SOME of the words in them. Of course you have to know which pages to turn to to find them, and if you are unfamiliar with the Roman Catholic church, you don’t know where to turn.

I’ve been to Episcopalian services (no I’m not Espiscopalian, but I do sometimes like to attend their services because they are reverent and worshipful) and they always provide you with a program that has EVERYTHING in it that needs to be said aloud, along with a detailed order of service for that day. It’s very user friendly.
Does the Roman Catholic Church have such a program online anywhere? I could print it out and bring it with me when I go to mass again next week.
 
The Missalettes in our pews have almost everything you need to follow along with the Mass. Are you sure the ones that are in your pew doesn’t?
Take it home to make yourself familiar with it. Ours is a two book set. One is all music and the other is part prayers , part music.

If that is not the case you can find the prayers and the order of Mass online in various places. I’m sorry it’s so daunting for a newcomer. 😦

I guess I hadn’t to thought to type in the key words “Order of Mass” when I was doing my search.

Oh, and by the way, what did you mean, Seatuck, by when you said “That’s the new one that hasn’t been given to us yet” ?

And finally…TAKE a missalette? I’d feel a little guilty just taking it without paying for it.
Perhaps they are available in a local Catholic bookstore? I might maybe have a chance to visit one this week.

I didn’t mean steal it. I meant take it home , familiarize yourself with it and return it. Not keep it. Sorry for not being clearer.

The Order that DixitDominus linked to isn’t the one that we use yet. We will use that one sometime in the next couple of years.The church has been improving the English tanslation for several years now and they have recently approved a new translation of the Mass but it will take a couple of years to get it to us.

I will try to get to a Catholic book store soon.

Since I am not Catholic, naturally, I can not partake of the
Eucharist. But I would like to participate in the rest of
the service as much as possible.

You should subscribe to the magnificat! You can google them and order online. It provides you with all the prayers, the order of the mass, the readings for that day, and reflections on the readings and prayers.

Regarding the magazine, at $44.00 a year… I bookmarked it, but that’s all for now, since I’ve already been spending more than I should on books (Catholic apologetics, especially).

Try it out for about a month. You can get it at any Catholic bookstore for about $5.95. They also have the Lenten companion which offers meditations for the penitential season based on the particular Gospel reading of the day.

I went to the local Catholic bookstore today and the lady at the store showed me a copy. But I chose not to buy it, mostly because it would put me into information overload.

Instead I bought the Sunday Missal and The New Catholic Answer Bible. But I still appreciate your recommendation.
