If you like me enjoy Roman history, here is a talk about the past that applies to the future and to today.
I enjoy how the speaker describes the events as if he was there, from the people who were there and their letters.
Lively, enjoyable.
The talk is entitled ‘Prefiguring the End Times - the Era of Julian the Apostate’ describing this Roman Emperor’s Julian reign as a type for future history. Julian is a 4th century Roman Emperor famous for his persecution of Christians. His reign is seen as a ‘type’ of the anti-Christ, that is a prefiguring or foreshadowing of what one could expect in miniature.
I think that it is truly remarkable of how we have these examples of past times to teach us how to deal with today.

And I love how Christ’s Kingdom, the Catholic Church, conquered the Roman Empire and renamed it the Holy Roman Empire in fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy (2:44). Thanks for posting that, I’m sure there’s more interesting details to be learned.
