Where can I buy a copy of this? Also, what is the difference between the Roman Missal and the Daily Roman Missal featured here (ewtnreligiouscatalogue.com/DAILY+ROMAN+MISSAL±+BLACK+LEATHER+COVER/shop.axd/ProductDetails?keywords=Roman+Missal&x=39&y=8&edp_no=16248) ?
If you’re looking for an English one, none has been published yet so you can’t buy one. The final translation has just been accepted and it will be promulgated some time next year most likely starting on First Sunday of Advent (November 2011).

The changes are great so it’s best not to spend money now. Here is a site where you can compare what we say/pray now and what is in the Third Edition:

The Latin edition is sold by paxbook.com. Details of it are at paxbook.com/algorithmiS/servusPrimus?iussum=monstraScriptumEditum&numerus=31790 .

The Daily Roman Missal is a much smaller and lighter book than the Roman Missal. The Daily Roman Missal includes all the readings, the Roman Missal does not.

The Daily Roman Missal does not include all the rubrics, all the instructions on the Mass. For example, it does not include the complete General Instruction of the Roman Missal, only some extracts from it.

I expect there will be a new edition of the Daily Roman Missal, published next year, with the new translation of what is said at Mass.

The promulgation appears to be dependant on the region. England and Wales might implement the new translation of the Roman Missal in the summer of 2011 instead. Apparently, they will also use the new texts when the Pope visits Britain later this year.

Where did you read that blessed and joyful piece of news? :D:D:D

Just read your source. I had a gut feeling and checked it out. 👍 Please tell St. Plurk’s that I will be rejoining this weekend! 😃

From what I understand, the Catholic Truth Society will be selling the new missals. I just wish I could find out when.

I’m studying the text of the new missal now online and I am very excited about this 😃

I just received an announcement from Leaflet Missal Press for a small booklet called,“UNDERSTANDING THE REVISED MASS TEXTS”
I ordered 4 of them for $5,00. Shipping was more than that but what the heck. we’ll see if it was worth it.

Down in little ole New Zealand we’re getting a new text that they’re readying us for now. We are going to start praying it in the first week of Advent this year!

(And honestly, I thought it might have just been a NZL thing because I haven’t seen too much about it online),

But from the little booklet they’ve handed out at Church, the new Missal sounds wonderful! Its a more accurate translation of the Latin Mass and the prayers are so humble and God focussed, which is great, because there’s a few odd things in NZL services that I don’t think are quite right, and this looks like it’ll clear it all up. 😃

I’m actually really excited. I think our Missals are currently being published.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought that while the Latin 3rd edition Roman Missal came out in 2000 or 2002, Pope Benedict or maybe it was JP2 had added prayers to it for some recently canonized Saints, including Padre Pio. I think this was either in 2005 or 2008.

So, a few questions:
The current Latin Roman Missal does not contain the added prayers. The English version will though?

Where can I get these prayers in Latin?

Thanks!
