It seems that you’re failing to make distinctions again. Yes, prisoners of war can be used for work. So can regular criminal prisoners. It happens every day, and it always has. They do this work as a condition of their imprisonment, which is what distinguishes their work from the work performed by a chattel slave.Prisoners of war are allowed, right? But that isn’t the same as slavery, they cannot be used for work, etc.
The Church has consistently condemned chattel slavery. Other forms of involuntary servitude may or may not be unjust, depending on the specific circumstances.
Reading is fundamental. So is at least a passing understanding of history. Africans were subjected to chattel slavery, which is precisely that type of slavery the Church has consistently condemned. Your post is both insulting and ignorant.Sorry all but I nearly fell on the floor laughing at this post. Is this Bill Clinton? because it sure sounds like one of his answers. Tell any Black person that their relatives weren’t really slaves, they were just forced into “Involuntary Servitude”.
