I see you are also in Cali. Just a FYI, the Cali. motor vehicle code says it is against
the law in Cali. to hang anything from your rear view mirror.

(2) A person shall not drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed,
affixed, or applied in or upon the vehicle that obstructs or reduces the driver’s
clear view through the windshield or side windows. **

When you hang anything from your rear view mirror, you open the door to giving the police
cause to pull you over and look for other things…
I know about this law, but in all of the times that I’ve been pulled over, it has always been for moving violations, and not because of the rosary on my rear view mirror. The officers surely see it there, but have never mentioned it so far. It is a reminder for me to practice my faith on the road, and I am one of those who needs such reminders, especially in Los Angeles traffic! As a matter of fact, the last time I was pulled over, I maintained such a gentle disposition with the policeman, in no small part due to the rosary in front of me, that he let me off with a warning. It cannot be proven, but I am convinced my rosary got me out of a ticket :D.

I used this pattern with a soft baby yarn type cordhttp://littlehouseinthesuburbs.com/2008/12/crocheted-rosary.html

I love it! My wife used to put on rosary making sessions at church, but we never did any like this. We just went with knotted strings or wire hook things mostly.

I used to crochet little frillies around pillow cases when I was little, but nothing practical… this is a good enough excuse for us both to learn! 🙂
