Anyone have a favorite rosary or collect them? I know I have about 20 or so and I was wondering if anyone else shares my passion for rosaries.

I have a wide variety, 18 in total, including regular beads, rings, and even a rosary card I keep in my wallet. I need to start collecting rosary containers. 😃

I do too lol. All of them are hanging from my miniature statue of St. Anthony of Padua.

Between my wife and me we have over 20 Rosaries. I have to keep about that many as my wife is really rough on them. Of the 20 Rosaries I guess about 1/2 are broken. I do have one Conventual Rosary that is really tough. The chain and links are very heavy.

Had to invest in some tools for repairing them.

I’m not even Catholic, and I have 5 Rosaries (one has gone missing at the moment), a car Rosary, 2 Rosary rings, a Rosary card, and a set of Chaplet beads (I don’t know if there’s a more proper name for them?) to pray a Chaplet of Comfort for the deceased.

For Christmas a year ago, I hand-made a Rosary for my fiance. He loved it!

I try to say the Rosary each day. I have two, one black standard length and one brown ring type.

Currently, I own four; the oldest is a white plastic-beaded rosary I helped make when I was a child and a member of the Legion of Mary at my parochial school. I also own a large rosary with black plastic beads I used to use frequently in the “glory days” of my faith before I fell into apostasy, a somewhat shoddy one with black-painted wooden beads I bought shortly after my reconversion (had to replace a dreadful crucifix on it) and a beautiful hematite rosary I use now and keep in my watch pocket.

I had more, but when I fell away from the Faith, I got rid of them. Thankfully, I did so by leaving them at the lost and found at my old church, but I miss them. I accidentally gave away the rosary I received for my first Communion 😦

hehe…I love Rosaries so much that I make them!
I really enjoyed making the one for my fiance; it was a true labor of love. I think it would be a wonderful hobby, but I between work/commute, chores, errands, laundry, pets, horse care, etc., it would probably take me a year to complete another one.

I got most of the work done on my fiance’s Rosary in the back of my SUV, while my pig was in surgery. The vet is an hour and a half away, so I decided just to hang out and get caught up! (OK, and take a nap, too!) 😉

I’ve never collected them but I have lots! They come out of nowhere!

hehe…sometimes I wonder if they breed…even the ones that I don’t make seem to show up all the time in my home…lol They just seem to multiply like rabbits sometimes…lol

Yes!!
I have 8 rosaries and I just started with the Catholic faith last year. 😃

i would love to start making them…i have never made them and wouldnt know where to begin

It’s good to have Rosaries… but even better to pray the Rosary. I have a few, but they are scattered about so that no matter where I am/where I go I always have a Rosary. I try to keep one in my pocket, but not everything I wear has a pocket, so I have a Rosary in each of my purses/bags, my room, my car, my coat pocket, etc. I try not to get too attached to them, so that way if I meet someone who needs a Rosary, I give them whichever one I have on me at the time.

I have about 20 , and many which have been broken over the years.
BTW the record for the most rosaries is more than 2000, its held by a Muslim man in Saudi Arabia. The Guinness World Records use the word rosary instead of prayer beads.

I find that ironic, a Muslim with rosaries lol.

Yeah, I love roasaries too. 😃 I have several, most with sentimental value. What I’ve actually had on my mind lately is one of those old-fashioned plastic glow in the dark rosaries. They can’t be very expensive, but I don’t see them around anymore. When I was a kid it seemed like they were everywhere. Not really the kind of thing you can find on e-bay. 🤷 But they’re nice to have when you pray the rosary at night in bed. Or maybe I’m just weird…? :ehh:

I have many rosaries too, I try to keep them in lots of places around the house so that wherever I am, I can grab one to say the rosary or the Divine Mercy Chaplet. My favorite one is a beautiful purple bead rosary with St. Faustina on it. It was a birthday gift from my husband last year. I guess my pastor thinks I am nuts cause several times I have had him bless a bunch of them. The last time, I think I had about 5 of them in hand when I asked him to bless them. He said, where are you going? I said home. He said no I meant where are you going with all those rosaries. Guess he thought I was going out evangelizing. Nope, just had a bunch for my family. I love giving them as gifts to those I know have an appreciation for the rosary!👍
