Hi, TwinMommy…I am absolutely amazed at you…and how you have grown in your prayer life in such a short time.

As for the 54 day novena, you may want to inquire in the parish where you move to, if they have already a group that does it. You may want to do it with them. Anyway, just a suggestion.
Thank you for the tip 🙂

Praying the Rosary with my boys is something I would love to happen soon.
Do you have a children’s Bible? We have two, as well as a book of Saints and our children love to have us read from those in the evenings. The Guardian Angel prayer is great to say with them before bed too. It is a very peaceful way to end the day.

No we don’t have those. I need to get them when we can. Sounds like a great way to end the day.

Hi! Im just finishing up a 54 day Novena (expressed, all the mysteries daily…will restart next week!)
I do both versions of St Micheal’s choir of Angels prayer…and both the 1 year (15 prayers) and the 12 year (7) St Bridgette prayers, the Fatima chaplet and Divine Mercy one,
I also started the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Francis of Assissi one’s today as well…

But I do have a question about the Liturgy of the Hours…I started it this afternoon but…does it change each year? I used the Divinum Officium first but also checked out the Ibreviary.com version as well (made notes of what chapters etc…) my luck with electronic versions of stuff is notoriously BAD :p:D so…figured I would keep notes just in case. 😊

Can ya tell Im OBC and have way to much time on my hands? would love any advice at all…or ideas of other prayers or chaplets that I could pray to be helping others as well? God Bless everyone! Kim

Wow! You are so enthusiastic in prayers! I really have to learn from you.
I STRONGLY suggest praying for the poor souls in the Purgatory. I have decided to offer a Novena for Our Lady Help of Christians every month from 15th to 24th and I suggest you to do so.
Perhaps you may start praying the Chaplet of St. Michael and the Rosary of the Holy Souls especially for the poor souls.
Ask for the intercession of the Holy Souls.

Right now I’m exploring different ways of praying. I’ve been incorporating music in my daily prayers (I play the Irish whistle) and that has really made it more personal, along with trying to pray more in my own words. The Psalms have also been used, and I want to get back to my devotion to the Divine Mercy.
As far as how many times a day…2 to 3 on average.

:tiphat:

As soon as I can get a Bible I will be using Psalms. I don’t like using the computer to pray unless I am praying with a video but for more personal the Psalms are a great way to go. I am too distracted when online to give my attention 100%
