Hi I was wondering what the best rosary confraternity is and if the one on rosary center.org is a good one also was wondering if you have to be baptized to join one.

Any answers are appreciated

Definitely rosary-center.org/index.htm

There really is no alternative. This is not just a pious movement (although there is nothing wrong with being that), but is the official Rosary Confraternity promoted by the Dominican order, who are the founders and keepers of the Rosary devotion. It also has Papal approval since 16th century (IIRC). It has promises from heaven, and generous indulgences. It is the only society without vows, that I’m aware of, which has a plenary indulgence on several days of the year (such as the Feast of the Assumption) just for being an active member on that day (with the usual conditions).

I didn’t even know there was more than one  but yes I agree with Edmundus, the ‘official confraternity’ run by the Dominicans is the one to join, it has a long tradition stretching back for several hundred years and is more than generous as regards when you can gain indulgences both partial and plenary. Frankly it would be madness to join any other 😛

As for whether you must be baptised, as far as I understand it yes. The Church only has authority to erect confraternities as regards its members and as you must be baptised to be a member (without getting into baptism of desire and baptism of blood) yes you must be baptised to belong to a confraternity. That does not however mean that you cannot pray the Rosary, indeed I would encourage you to do so!
