Rosary Confraternity

I was wondering if anyone knows more about this organization. Is it still around? Do the plenary indulgences still apply (I couldn’t find them in the new enchridion)? Does the Church still suggest this? Is there any reason not to join? Is anyone out there a member?

I suppose I’ll join the Confraternity of Mary Queen of all Hearts after consecration next week.

According to the True Devotion book I have, this confraternity has been around since 1899 and was made an archconfraternity by Pope St. Pius X. Also according to the book, one joins by sending his name to the Father Director of the confraternity. Consecration to Mary according to the method of St. Louis de Montfort is a prerequisite.

The email address is from 2 years ago and I’m not sure it is live. I don’t think the Montfort Missionaries have a website other than the storefront where you might try to contact them. montfortmissionaries.org/.

Yes the indulgences still apply, from what I understand indulgences given to confraternitys, organisations etc… don’t appear in the enchiridon. I don’t understand your question about whether the church still suggests this :confused: The Church has recommended it for hundreds of years, that should suffice to allay any doubts about it. The only reason not to join would be if you couldn’t or you had no intention of fulfilling its requirements and yes I’m a member! 🙂
 
Yep, me too. I joined a number of years ago through the Dominicans in Portland, Oregon.
As well as the Confraternity of St. Peter.

I was looking at the obligations. 15 decades a week is not bad especially if you’re already praying them as part of the obligation for the Confraternity of St Peter.
 
It`s doable. Sometimes i try to pray 15 mysteries a day. Not always easy, but it is what i strive for to become a daily habit in not a too distant future. 🙂
 
Does it matter where one joins, like is there any difference between joining in Portland or Columbus, OH?
