My honest suggestion is that you reduce the quantity of prayers in order to improve their quality. For Mary is purported to have said that three Hail Marys said in complete sincerity is of far greater value than an entire Rosary muttered in mediocrity.

Consider the difference between having a dozen hurried conversations with a friend over the course of a day as opposed to a single, deep and meaningful one…

This is very good advice. Another possibility is to switch for a while from the Rosary to another devotion, like the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Changing it up and focusing on a completely different prayer should allow you to concentrate better, reflect on its beauty and meaning, and expand your prayer life in new ways.

I was thinking to spend it on reading bible and mediate on it but my question is that
Wasn’t one of the messages of FATIMA praying the rosary 3 times?

I fear that Satan is trying to discourage me and perhaps I need to continue…

Need more advice please thanks

The advice I was given when I struggled with my prayer life was to ease into changes like you would an exercise routine. If you do too much too soon you are more likely to stumble.
In your case I would suggest perhaps try saying 2 Rosarys a day for a little, till you get comfortable with it and have found the time in your own schedule, then move up to 3. Also as Rolltide suggested sometimes it can help to change your routine for a while, much like going on holiday. Don’t stop praying though, just occasionally vary your prayers a bit.

I have never heard that the Fatima message was for 3 Rosaries a day, only one.

I would suggest that instead of adding in 2 Rosaries, you move “up” into mental prayer. It is usually recommended to start with 15 minutes, and work one’s way to 30/day, but if you can’t manage 15, start with less. Also, you might start looking for a spiritual director 🙂 or at least advisor.

Mother Teresa once said something like, " God is not as concerned if we are successful, but more concerned that we are faithful.". I would continue doing the three a day and trying to add to the quality of your prayer the best you can.

Very well said. 👍

I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet every day at 3PM or close to that hour. Sometimes I pray 2 or 3 decades of the Rosary on my way to work and then finish the Rosary in the evening. Switching devotions helps me keep my focus and concentration on what I’m praying for and I always feel spiritually refreshed.

Most people think Rosary is a vocal prayer. It actually could be either vocal or mental prayer depending on how you pray it.

Our Lady of Rosary at Fatima emphasized the importance of praying the Rosary. We are not to ignore our Mother’s words. Some people don’t “like” to pray the Rosary. While it is not required to pray the Rosary, we can always make a “sacrifice” to pray it, to do our Holy Mother’s will instead of our own, to be obedient to the Holy Mother’s command instead of carrying out our own liking.

Many things are at stake and the dire situations of our nation and the world are intensified by the legalization of sodomy. God’s wreath is about to tip over. It has become more critical than ever to faithfully pray the Holy Rosary. I heard some good saying that the five decades of Rosary is like the pebbles picked up by King David to defeat the giant. Rosary is the powerful weapon for spiritual warfare.

We can include many things in saying the Rosary. A group of concerned Catholics at my parish has gathered together weekly to pray the Rosary. We come up with a good list of intentions generated from a prayer card plus some of our won additions. It is good to use. I print it out and say it before the Rosary I pray. We can add our personal intentions too.
Rosary Intentions

Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, pray for our dear country, protect America
from the snares of the devil, protect our religious freedom, sanctify our clergy, guide, guard, and protect all the priests, protect those who stand up for their faith, give us an increase in holy vocations, make our Catholics more fervent, direct those who govern us, convict people’s hearts and grant them true conversion, cure the sick who confide in you, console the sorrowful who trust in you, help all those who invoke your aid, deliver us from all dangers, help us to resist temptation, obtain for us all we lovingly ask of you, help those who are dear to us and fulfill their needs, bring back to the right road our erring brethren, shine light upon them so they may know your truth, give us back our ancient fervor, obtain for us pardon of our manifold sins and offenses, rescue the persecuted Christians, obtain peace for the world, guide the coming Synod this October to have faithful outcome according to the Church’s teachings, bless our Pope, have mercy on souls in Purgatory, bring all men to the feet of your Divine Child.

O God of infinite goodness and mercy, fill our hearts with a great confidence
in your most holy mother, whom we invoke under the title of Our Lady of the
Rosary of Fatima, and grant us by her most powerful intercession, all the graces spiritual and temporal, which we need, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

There is a Catholic app called Laudate for smartphones. I use it everyday for the Rosary. I have a little one running around the house so I generally can’t sit down with the beads. Plus the app goes through all the mysteries because its interactive. Give it a try. Its good for on the go.

Also, it helps to do different things, fo example, I use different Scriptural Rosary sources, video and audio as well as written, and I also try to learn things about the mysteries from other sources including the Bible and the homilies of good priests (lots of these online). Learning new aspects really helps me pray the Rosary better. Sometimes I learn something new about the Faith which seems unrelated to the Rosary, but then it pops up in my meditating 🙂

There are interactive websites for the Rosary, and Youtube as well, which you might find to be an occasional, and welcome change.

Also, sometimes I will say a Rosary gradually throughout the day, one decade at a time. I am no expert, and certainly no authority on this. But I think Our Lady understands we love Her, and seek Her help.

Oh how I wish I could pray to Her more often, and more meaningfully. For never was it known - that anyone who fled to Her protection, or sought Her intercession, was left unaided. How wonderful is this gift from the Holy Mother of God!

God Bless You.

🙂

Praying the Rosary can feel like drudgery if you are reading the prayers without feeling the prayers. Try to meditate more and “Feel” the meaning of the mysteries. Most of us do a lot better with some visual help during the Rosary or Chaplet (Interactive Rosary and Interactive Chaplet). Computers and smartphone/tablets have made it easier to get that visual meditative experience. Praying from the heart and imagine putting yourself in the setting of the mystery is helpful also.

🙂

I am no Rosary expert, but here are my 2 cents:

Don’t worry about how many Rosaries you pray. One is fantastic if it is prayed well. Our Lady of Fatima asked for one Rosary, not three. (I don’t speak Portugese, but this is what I have read.)

Consider using the rosary meditations given by Our Lord to Sr. Benigna Consolata (from her ‘Vademecum Proposed to Religious Souls’). Also, consider offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in honour of Our Lady, spending some time with her in her sorrows at the Foot of the Cross. “Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!” is a fitting prayer!

God bless.
