Rosary Hack I just discovered (or -- "inch"ing my way to heaven)

(Yeah, I know the title sounds like click-bait, and no, I will not reveal “one weird trick” to anything)

I was looking at my ruler at work and realized I hadn’t brought a Rosary with me, and somehow was putting the two together and found that you can say the Rosary on a standard foot-long ruler. This works best on one of those plastic or metal rulers with the three-ring binder holes running down the center.

Basically what you can do is:

1: Say the Apostle’s Creed on the big hole (the hole used to hang it on the rack at the store)
2. Say the Our father on the next hole up (usually an oval-shaped hole)
3. Say the three Hail Marys on the next three oval holes (If your ruler has one, skip the small hole in the center)
4. Go to the inches side of the ruler and say the Glory Be, the mystery and the Our Father on the 0 Inches mark.
5. Say the Ten Hail Marys on inches 1-10
6. Say the Glory Be at inch 11
7. Say the Fatima prayer (“O My Jesus”) and/or other optional prayers at Inch 12
8. Go back to Inch 0 for the next decade.
9. Finish up with the Hail Holy Queen on the big hole at the end again.

What do you think, sirs?
 
Interesting though I have more rosaries around than rulers.

Personally I like t actually use a rosary.
I don’t care who sees me.
 
Sounds interesting, and if it works for you, fine! I prefer to use beads or my fingers. Ring rosaries and single decade rosaries are also very handy for “on the go.”

One friend of mine has a “wall rosary” that is almost like an abacus. She can pray the rosary throughout the day, and just move however many beads over so she can remember where she left off. It’s pretty nifty.

Nah, I usually use a rosary or my fingers myself – this was literally an off the wall “Eureka!” (or come to find out more like “Mad Devotional Science” 😃 ) moment I had and thought was interesting. 😛
 
I agree with Catholic Fireman. Whatever works. 🙂

For myself I have several rosaries at home and always take one with me when I go out.
It’s good to have options though.

My wife calls me the Imelda Marcos if rosaries. 😃 :o
