Rosary & Immaculate Heart of Mary

My first post on the new forum!

My Diocese is getting consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary next month. My parish is going to start a rosary prayer group. We will meet once per week to pray rosary and say a prayer to Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Can anyone provide a link to a prayer to Immaculate Heart of Mary our rosary group can pray weekly at my church?

Also, if you are involved in a rosary group at your parish, please share what process your parish uses for the ministry.

How wonderful! I am not part of a Rosary group at my parish, so I don’t have experience to share.

As for the weekly prayer, you could renew your individual consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary each week when you meet. Here is one prayer option:

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, I renew my consecration to you and to your Immaculate Heart. Please accept me, my dear Mother, and use me as you wish to accomplish your designs upon the world. I am all yours, my Mother, my Queen, and all that I have is yours.

As for “process for the ministry”, I’m not sure what you mean. At the parishes where I go sometimes for group rosaries, the Rosary is said at a certain time each week or each weekday, and the time is listed in the parish bulletin or on the parish website. Once people know what time the prayers are being said, people who want to join will just show up. It’s often right after the morning Mass, which is good because people who come to the Mass will discover that the Rosary begins after the Mass, and it’s a set regular time that’s easier for people to remember than having a special time for the Rosary apart from Mass.

The bad thing about having it after a morning Mass is that people who have to get to work can’t join in. I manage to go sometimes because my work schedule is more flexible than most people.

Whatever time you choose, you need to make sure you’ll have several people available to lead (so that when one is sick or goes on vacation, you can still have a Rosary) and that you’re consistent about having it every week (so people who only show up sporadically won’t be disappointed and discouraged if they arrive and find nothing going on).

They crank through all of this pretty quickly in about an hour.

Wow! That’s fantastic that your parish says all those prayers after Mass! Is this after every Mass or just Sundays?

They do it 5 days a week, on weekdays. I’d say they have between 5 and a dozen people there most times I have gone.

There is another church in the area that prays after the morning Mass but only says the Divine Mercy. They get about the same amount of people. I don’t like that one as well because I prefer to say both the Rosary and the Divine Mercy and not just the Divine Mercy by itself.
