i know the prayers but the actual meditation parts I don’t get. Do you just like imagine the mystery happening or what? Please help

Great question. There are a good number of texts to help you. A good catholic bookstore will carry them.

Or you can put yourself into the scene, adding yourself noticing details.

Or you can bring the scene into your own daily life, almost turning the mystery into an “examination of conscience” question.

Annunciation: With how much faith and joy do I receive the will of God?

Visitation: how well do I bring the joy of Christ to others?

Agony in the Garden: How hard and well do I pray for others?

Etc

Do that help at all?

To Ed’s great suggestions, I’ll add that for example, with the Agony in the Garden one could say a brief prayer such as " My Lord, when I find myself feeling down, let me remember that my trials are nothing compared to Your Son’s agony He bore for us " Something similar for the Carrying of the Cross, etc.

Or yes, simply visualize the Mystery as you pray the decade for that mystery.
