Rosary Mysteries and Praying

While praying the Rosary I notice that we are to pray AND meditate on the Glorious Mysteries. I find this interesting, since our brains usually focus on several things at one time consciously and subconsciously.

Are we in fact supposed to stop and meditate on the Glorious Mystery, then pray, or are we indeed supposed to do both at the same time?

Yeah, I find it hard meditate and pray too,so I usually say the Mystery at the beginning of the ten hail Marys and at the end also.
