Rosary on my iPod

I’ve been praying the rosary every night for about a month. I’m not catholic but feel much more relaxed and sleep better after praying. I’ve been having trouble keeping everything in order. So I downloaded the rosary to my iPhone from rosaryarmy.com . Is praying like this unacceptable to Mary?

I may be wrong but I can’t see any problem with it. I have heard of rosary CDs from other posters so why not a download on your ipod/iphone? Thanks for letting me know this is available!

Of course its acceptable. Are you using simply the Rosary or the Scriptural Rosary? I listen and pray along with the Scripural Rosary every morning while I exercise (walking). I find it much easier to contemplate the mysteries as the Scripture verses are being read.

Go to Sonitus Sanctus to the Prayer Section: Page down a couple of times and you’ll find each mystery in an MP3 format. It’s wonderful - there is a Scripture verse dealing with each mystery before each Hail Mary is prayed. I think of the Scripture verse as I’m saying the Hail Mary. This kind of rosary takes about 25-28 minutes to pray.

There are two good books - The Rosary in Scripture by Edward Sri and the Mysteries of Light by Tim Gray - that explain these mysteries so very well!

I would convert but my is 100% against it. We have two small boys and I think it would be a bad thing to have division in our home over faith. Most if not all my questions have been answered. We have something in common it seems, firemen. I’m a volunteer in Oklahoma, lots of wildfires this year. Who is the saint of firemen? And I guess I could pray to this saint for protection on a call.

Thanks for that! I like to have a couple of different audio rosaries to listen to - frankly I get bored fairly easily, but also each adds something new to my appreciation of the Rosary and its mysteries.

A discount store near me last year had a whole bunch of CDs of JP2 saying the Rosary at ridiculously good prices. I didn’t have the money on me to buy one, I’m kicking myself that I didn’t go to the nearest cash machine and straight back there, because when I did later they were all gone :crying:

Oh well, at least I know those other buyers will appreciate it as much as I would have.

Who is the saint of firemen? And I guess I could pray to this saint for protection on a call.

The martyr St. Florian is the patron of firemen and will gladly intercede for you on a call.

Don’t sell yourself and your inquiry into the faith short. You have a right and a duty to follow where the Holy Spirit leads; that’s not being divisive, and a spouse is bound in love to respect your search. Take it at your own pace, and trust in God to help you and your family find a way.
