Sometimes I place myself in a particular mystery. During the Agony at the Garden for instance I am there with Our Lord (off to the side) watching and praying a decade as He is praying. Other times I might repeat the title of the particular mystery after saying a Hail Mary. Other times I will meditate on the picture of the event in my Rosary Prayer book.
I bought a batch of rosary’s off of Ebay and didn’t realize it was like 6 or 8? total in the box so I took 4 different ones and re-hooked them into the 20 decant rosary and had the others that were left over to gift to a couple of folks. I did the colors to match to the set of mysteries. It can be done with just one regular rosary but it does seem to make it easier with the 20 one!
My friend is visiting the Holy Land next month and she’s bringing me back an olive wood rosary. (About 10 people are asking her for rosaries so she’ll have a lot.) She said our Msgr. told them that people will touch their rosaries to places Jesus had been, so she’s going to try to do that. I can’t wait for her to bring them back.
A very vise old priest told me to go for a 20 minute walk and just meditate on the mysteries. Meditating on the mysteries of Christ is more important than all the Aves. I can’t pray the Rosary with other people either. I just get stressed and at times there is more noise when people are praying the Rosary than in the school´s dining hall where I have worked. It sure doesn’t help when some are a sentence ahead while others are one sentence behind and there are about 5 languages heard.
If it takes a decade to figure out that people are praying the Rosary then there should be something done about it.
