Rosary question

Out of interest, what do you pray on the first three beads of the rosary? I was taught to pray for Faith, Hope and Charity, but I seem to recall there are other things people pray for. Have I misremembered?
 
The first 3 beads are for Hail Marys … they don’t have a Church-defined meaning beyond that.

Different people come up with personal significance for the Centerpiece, and the Crucifix, and the first 3 beads.
It’s a personal choice.
To some, it is the Trinity.

I myself don’t attach any special significance to those beads.
But I DO have my feelings about the Centerpiece and the Crucifix.
 
Some people simply say 3 Hail Marys alone.
but it also traditional to pray:
"for an increase of Hope…Hail Mary…
"for an increase of Faith…Hail Mary
"for an increase of Charity… Hail Mary…

I always pray the Hail Marys for the increase of faith, hope, and charity of my spiritual director. 🙂
 
I use them to pray for our parish priests and for all priests and religious. It has got to be hard for them to stay holy and faithful. I also offer the Our Father before for the pope’s intentions.

I think faith, hope and charity are lovely too 🙂
 
In my part of England, at least from what I’ve seen, people tend to say the Our Father, three Hail Marys and the Glory Be, for the Pope on those beads.
 
I’ve always prayed them as the Angelus, reflecting on both the Immaculate Conception of Mary and the Incarnation.

1st bead: Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will proclaim your praise.
2nd bead: God, come to my assistance, Lord, make haste to help me.
3rd bead: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

I usually state all my intentions before I start to pray the rosary. Also, after stating a particular mystery, I ask for the particular virtue highlighted in that mystery using the montfort method of praying the rosary.
