Although I am still struggling I am trying to pray a rosary when I feel the disbelief feeling come on and when I feel spiritually in a state of despair. My question is does it matter if I can’t say the whole thing at one sitting or can I say half a decade walk around and then say the other half?

Don’t let it become a struggle. Sit or walk as you need to. Stop as you need to and then pick it up later. As it a personal devotion, the Lord knows your heart and intention and that you are trying to do your best. If you just can’t pray the rosary for one reason or another just pray ‘Hail Mary’ when and as you can. Mary will hear you too and help you along. Peace.

The Rosary can be a struggle, especially at first. I had similar trouble when I started praying it. The advice my priest gave was to say a decade at a time, then two and work up to the whole rosary gradually, just like exercise. The important thing is not to give up.
You say you need to walk a bit during the decade, there’s nothing to stop you from walking around while praying the Rosary. I have done this a lot, both at work saying the prayers in my head, or going for a walk in the countryside or on my way to places in town.
