Rosary rings.

I just ordered one of these:

EWTN Rosary Ring

I’m still learning how to pray the rosary and was looking for something small I could take to work that is inconspicuous (since my co-workers attack me for converting), so I could pray through out the day.

My question is, how different is it praying with a ring than with a regular necklace? Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it possible to go through the whole prayer?

I have used a Rosary bracelet at times when I am walking or taking public transportation. My husband uses a Rosary ring because it is easy to stash in his pocket without getting all tangled up. The important thing for me is to pray the Rosary. If I can’t find a Rosary, ring, or bracelet, I’ve been know to use my fingers!

we don’t pray with a necklace, the rosary is a sacramental, not a piece of jewelry. The rosary ring is a one-decade rosary that can be worn on a keychain, or with some designs, can actually be worn as a ring on the finger, or around the wrist. That means there is a bead for the Our Father, 10 Hail Mary beads, and either a cross or medal or both, for the Creed. You simple go around the ring repeatedly for as many decades as you are praying. I have one on every key ring, and one clipped to most of my purses, so I am never w/o a rosary. for traveling I carry a knot rosary with no metal so I don’t get in trouble if I forget I have it.
 
Keep in mind, also… that (for those of us blessed to have 10) you could “count” your Hail Mary’s using your fingers! And no one would notice! 😉

Think of them as a built-in Rosary decade! (No, really! It works! I’ve done it! lol). 😃
 
I have one of the ring rosaries that the link in the 3rd post points to. I bought it at our local Carmelite monastery gift shop for $1.00. The one from EWTN looks nice too - that’s the first time I’ve seen one like that.

I have a ring just like that one that I wear on my pinky all the time. (Bought mine in a local Catholic shop though.) I wear it on my smallest finger because I clasp my hands a lot and it makes it easy to feel and keep count. It is getting pretty beat up, but honestly it is the rosary I use the most because it is always with me. I hope you find it a blessing too!
