I would not sell things in God’s house. maybe out side or at a function, but not in his house. The bible record you are referring too- many times things that were sold in the temple were the animals needed for repentence and sins. Something at that time, very important to have brought with you and have.

I would look for more creative ways and opportunites to raise money.

Religious goods are sold outside Mass in the social hall or vestibule, etc. all the time. Those areas are not inside the Church. This is not what Jesus was angry about. He was angry because the money-changers were cheating the people in the exchange of money and pocketing the profits, and selling animals for sacrifice at exorbitant prices. All of this was inside the temple, no less , making the Father’s house a “den of thieves”.

My parish supports a parish in El Salvador. The parishioners there make religious goods and send them to our parish and we sell them after Masses for them. Families are supported that way.
